As the iconic Chicago Auto Show turns off the engine for the 2013 season, many Chicagoans are still revved up over what they encountered during the 9-day auto fest.
Especially exited, The Berman Auto Group saw all three of their core brands put impressive new vehicles on display. From the Chicago Auto Show to Berman Auto Group showrooms, it’s only a matter of months until the 2014 Subaru Forester, the 2014 Infinti Q50 and the 2014 Nissan Versa Note are rolled onto the lots.
Mid City Subaru is expecting the 2014 Forester to arrive at their dealership early spring 2013 and they can’t wait to show off their newly renovated brand staple. Over an inch longer than previous models, the 2014 Forester’s most noticeable feature is its enormous interior space. No bumping elbows or squishing into the backseat in this five-passenger Subaru crossover. Adding to the spacious interior, the available giant panoramic moon roof provides a whole new driving experience that only a convertible can compete with.
“ We’ve made a lot of improvements to the interior; much more comfortable, inviting interior. It’s got a little bit more rear-seat leg room and more cargo volume,” said Dominick Infante, National Manager for Product Communications at Subaru of America.
Not only is the 2014 Forester extremely roomy, this all-wheel drive champion is also big on gas economy.
“The big news is the fuel economy, the Forester gets 32 miles per gallon highway which is incredible for a car of this size,” says Infante. Available technology like Aha radio will keep Subaru fans connected to the rest of the world no matter how far off the beaten path they go.
The 2014 Nissan Note made its mark on the Chicago Auto Show proving once again that good things really do come in small packages by showing off its high-tech features and amenities. Ready to roll into the Chicago area early this summer, Mid City Nissan and Star Nissan are already anticipating huge interest in this small wonder.
Based a vehicle by Nissan Europe with the same name, the Versa Note is a welcomed edition to the Nissan North American lineup.
“…it was time for Versa to redesign and we had just finished full redesign of the Note in other areas (internationally) so this is an American redesign of the Note…and it’s what we’re going to use for the new Versa,” said Ken Paul, a Nissan Product Specialist at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show.
“There’s a lot of unexpected technology in a car that starts at 13,990$,” said Paul. “There’s going to be the availability of integrated navigation, Google Maps, Google Send to Car… Bluetooth streaming audio and Around View Monitor…things that cars of this size do not see for options,” he continued.
With an estimated starting MSRP at $13,990 this subcompact car is big on savings. Getting around 40 miles per gallon highway the Nissan Versa Note is rivaling the hybrid market saving you time, money and trips to the gas station.
Safety is also a huge feature in the 2014 Versa Note, with Easy-Fill Tire Alert, Traction Control System ABS, Vehicle Dynamic Control and Brake Assist all coming standard.
With all the available amenities, huge tech specs and unbelievable gas mileage, this is ultimate no-compromise compact car.
Also new to the scene, the Nissan Juke NISMO showed off the sporty side of Nisan adding front LED daytime running lights, contrasting side-view mirrors and wide fender flares. The Nissan Juke NISMO also added an extra kick under the hood, producing 197 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque.
Infiniti is making a huge transition over the next few years, shifting everything to its new ‘Q’ nomenclature. While some Infiniti fans may be a bit shaken up over the change, the presence of the Q50 at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show reassured the public that the brand still knows exactly what it’s doing: Producing cars people dream about owning.
The body of the 2014 Infiniti Q50 adds lines inspired by the beauty of nature and mixes them with a modern artistic twist. Its intense headlights and muscular fenders produce an overall sportier look than that of its G predecessor while the interior boasts a boost in technology with the introduction of a dual-screen infotainment system.
Every year the auto show gives Chicagoans a reason to look forward to the frigid month of February. Now, even though the show is over, a buzz of excitement still remains as we ready the showrooms for these innovative new vehicles.
